Our membership structure is as follows.

• Full membership for participation in Bristol League, Somerset League, Club Championship and Challengers tournament.

• Social membership for attendance at social chess, and participation in Summer Tournament and Blitz events.

• No membership necessary for infrequent visits to social chess.

Membership fees are currently £40 for full members; £20 for social members, students, juniors and unemployed. We offer a 50% discount in the first year of membership.

Bath university students have free membership in their first season, and get the 50% discount following their free year.

Fees are paid annually and run from September to September.

League match players also need to join the Salisbury Club. Moreover, English Chess Federation membership is needed to participate in any competition.
